She was a wonderful neighbor to have around. We became very close over the years and taught me a lot just like a mother would. She seen that i was getting an intrest in cooking so for the last 2 years she has been showing me the ropes in the kitchen. She taught me how to make chili, carrot cake and her homemade salsa, with a few lil recipes here and there. She was a very wise and confident woman that never acted her age. She was full of life and never gave up on the things she loved the most, which were her kids, grand childern and her green thumb. She loved her flower garden and all the plants in her home. We were even going to plant an above ground garden this spring. She will be very missed around here :( She was like our other Grandma, and she called us her other kids. Dont know what I am going to do without her. and in all reality it still doesnt feel real. But I know she is in a much better place and even better shes not in pain anymore like she has been these last couple years. God bless you Nancy, much love Jaimie

She passed away peacefully, but not without a fight. She was always resilient and a resourceful free spirit.
